I wish I could leave 3 reviews, so Zeal could get the 15 stars it deserves.

To start, the space itself is small but inviting - they did a great job with the remodel. The menu is a great size - enough options to choose from, but not so many it's confusing. Plus, there's a rotating selection of baked treats that all looked amazing.

I ordered a bacon & egg sandwich and lemon tart to eat in the shop, and two cupcakes to take home for the family. I could hear the owner coaching a new staff member while making the sandwich, explaining exactly what to look for to know it was done in the broiler. She she was right. The bread (the most incredible GF "rye" I've had) was perfectly toasted, and the egg exactly over easy. Delicious! And came with a little fruit, which was a nice surprise, and the perfect palate cleaner before my desert, the lemon tart.

Oh, the lemon tart. Always one of my favorite baked goods, but so often not quite right. Either the bottom is soggy, or the lemon curd too sweet or grainy. But this was truly the best tart I've had outside of France, GF or not. Perfectly tart, with a great crumb on the crust. And I washed it down with a caramel macchiato; they stock multiple kinds of dairy free milk, which was much appreciated.

Haven't tried the cupcakes yet, but they are gorgeous and well packed.I bought them to share, but what I've eaten so far was so good, I'm not sure I want to.

All I have to say is wow. While I am not allergic to gluten, it doesn't even matter because everything made here is incredibly good. You would never know. Great place to study too.

This place is amazing!!! It is so cute, clean, and provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay all day. The food is delicious, and there is something for everyone including my non-sweet tooth husband, my picky 10-year old, and my dairy free son all while keeping my caffeine needs meet with delicious coffee!

I'm celiac and was so excited to see a new gluten free bakery was opening up in Tucson, so we drove from the Northwest side to check it out on opening day. Zeal did not disappoint! It's a wonderfully cute place, with tons of adorable details. The food itself was amazing: we had the egg and bacon sandwich, a donut, a smoothie, a latte, and a box of assorted cookies and all of it was perfect. I dream about the oatmeal cherry cookies. Luck would have it we were able to drop by again today, and got a turkey panini, lemon bread, and more cookies. My husband, who has tried many gluten free items with me, said he couldn't tell anything was gluten free. Can't wait to go back and order for the holidays!

Everything was gorgeous! Helpful, friendly staff and a darling space. I'd say order the lemon tart, but I want to eat them all! Seriously, it was the best one I've had outside of France. My bacon & egg sandwich was awesome as well.

A friend of mine posted that she had eaten at your place.  My granddaughter is Gluten intolerant so I sent the add to my daughter and granddaughter this morning.  About an hour later my granddaughter called to thank me for suggesting your place.  She said, “grandma it’s the bomb”.  She was so excited and said she couldn’t even tell it was gluten free.  Can’t wait to bring her in myself and try it out!
Thanks for all your hard work in perfecting your recipes,
